A new GFR course in collaboration with Heilsueflandi Samfélag Mosfellsbær
Glímufélag Reykjavík offers a brand new wrestling course for kids aged 5-8 at the Sports Center at Varmá. The course is open to all children.
This is the 8-week basic course that starts on Friday, April 5 and will be taught every Friday at 16:15 in the buildings of Afturelding.
The kids who sign up for the course also get access to the GFR sports club, which is held every Saturday at 10:10 at Viðarhöfða 2, Reykjavík.
The course costs ISK 15,900.
The classes cover the basic points and rules of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The classes take place in a safe environment under the guidance of experienced trainers.
Along with that, it is emphasized that the children acquire better motor development, which is very important for the future mobility of children. This is done through various games, together with gymnastics exercises and "animal movements".
We put a lot of effort into engaging the children and creating a fun and healthy training environment so that they gain more self-confidence, social skills and mobility while creating a positive future attitude towards exercise and sports.
